Additional Employment
Article 36 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement provides faculty guidance on Additional Employment. The maximum allowable additional employment is twenty-five percent (25%) above the equivalent of full-time appointment, regardless of the University or Auxiliary funding Source. Processes for pre-approval, scope of work, and completion of deliverables are contained in forms in this section.
Assigned Time
Adjustments to faculty workload, for work such as, excess enrollment, Academic Senate specified roles, special assignments, or reimbursed activities including research or other grants are also known as assigned time (AT). Processes for pre-approval, scope of work, and completion of deliverables are contained in forms in this section.
S Factor
S-Factor courses are those with a supervision mode of instruction. Typical S-Factor courses may include supervision of fieldwork, direct one-on-one instruction, supervision of graduate thesis/project or dissertation.
