If you work or study at the CBE, you have likely heard of Jose Yong. For nearly two decades, Jose has provided therapy for the computers, laptops, and other hardware abused by their human owners in the CBE. In other words, Jose, alongside David Chang, takes care of the College’s technological issues, networks, and servers, assisting faculty, staff, and sometimes even students.
Most people describe Jose as quiet, friendly, and approachable – which makes perfect sense considering after dealing with screens all day long, the person-to-person interaction is without a doubt his favorite part of the job.
Jose hopes to one day travel more and explore more countries, but for now, Jose enjoys spending time with family at the mall or the park – whichever his son is in the mood for that day. When his son is not calling the shots, Jose enjoys playing tennis and soccer. Currently, he is reading the Disease Delusion, a novel about functional medicine and how to prevent the cause of illness, rather than treat its symptoms.
