Roberto Martinez began studying at the CBE in 2015. He is majoring in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resource Management and a minor in Marketing. Roberto expects to graduate in December 2019 and is currently the Director of Marketing for the Professionals in Human Resource Association (PIHRA).
Roberto has worked at two of the most recognized organizations in the world. He was a Human Resource Intern at the Academy of Motion Picture, Arts, and Sciences and, after the internship, he was offered a position with the Academy as a human resource assistant. He was then promoted to become the Assistant to the Associate Director of the Academy Gold Inclusion and Alumni Programs. In the Summer of 2019, Roberto decided to take an internship with NBC Universal where he served as their Corporate Functions Intern for the Campus Program and Initiatives Department.
Most recently, Roberto was chosen as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Scholar for 2019!
Roberto’s favorite thing about attending the CBE is the diversity of events held at the College. He says that, “All the events at the CBE have given me the exposure to and a better understanding of my chosen field in the entertainment industry.”
Roberto’s advice to students is to “be more persistent.” He states that his persistence has helped him overcome the struggle of trying to get into the entertainment industry and has led him to great things.
