Dr. Jorge Leal (UC Riverside) will deliver our opening keynote address, discussing "A Great Day in East L.A.: Celebrando the Eastside Sound" alongside award-winning photographer and filmmaker Piero F. Giunti, whose photographic portraits and oral histories of musicians document East LA’s musical identity and history. Singer, songwriter, musician, and exhibit co-curator, Mark Guerrero (son of legendary musician Lalo Guerrero), joins the conversation. Dr. Leal will share exhibit artifacts in a show and tell you won’t want to miss!
