Solar New Year

Did you know that there is a shining counterpart to the well-known Lunar New Year tradition? In mid-April, South and Southeast Asian countries such as India, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia celebrate the sun entering the Aries constellation. Join us for an afternoon of activities, engagement, and prizes in the Asian Pacific Islander Student Resource Center to learn more about how each country celebrates the Solar New Year.
