Location
The Last Bookstore, 453 S. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90013
Description
ACP kicks off the year’s pop-up programming at downtown LA’s The Last Bookstore with this reading by the acclaimed poet José Kozer. The son of Central European Jewish immigrants, Kozer was born in Cuba but relocated to New York City in early adulthood. In dozens of books of poetry, he has complexly explored the limits of meaning, the experience of exile, and the uncanny territory of the autobiographical. In 2013, he was awarded the prestigious Pablo Neruda Ibero-American Poetry Prize.
