Description
Usually, CSULA’s Queer Wedding is a time for symbolic marriages, advocating for marriage equality, and cake. But times are a’changing! And so has the Supreme Court’s decision on CA Prop. 8 and DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act). This year, the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center is mixing it up! Dr. J. Jack Halberstam, a well-known gender theorist and author of Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender, & the End of Normal, will be queering ideas of marriage, society, gender & sexual politics to explore the question facing LGBT activism: What’s next?
