No CAP brings us together to have conversations about Black Identity and community at Cal State LA. Let’s tell the truth and shame the devil.
As Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) college students, we often navigate the complexities of balancing cultural identity, family expectations, and personal wellbeing. This workshop series, "Embracing Our Narratives," provides a brave space for AAPI students to explore mental health through the lens of art and literature. Workshops will be facilitated by AAPI-identifying mental health counselors who aim to co-create a safe, judgment-free environment with students and for students.
Today's Topic: AI Literacy: Understanding and Avoiding Plagiarism in the Context of AI Detection (Part 2 of 2 in the AI Literacy Series)
This workshop covers two AI detection tools: GPT Zero and Detect GPT, with attention to how these tools may be used to detect plagiarism. We will cover how to cite content from AI tools and the importance of following course policy to avoid the misuse of generative AI.
Join us on Wednesday, November 20, for a day of commemorating and celebrating our Trans community! We will have music, vendors, a resource fair, and more.
The Library Empowered Scholars + Pan African Studies Grad Cohort is designed to support the inaugural cohort of Pan African Studies graduate students. This biweekly research lab offers a variety of student support activities to cultivate self-efficacy and academic success.
Now what? Now that the votes are counted, we'll convene to discuss the results of the November 2024 election. We’ll conclude the Civic Series with a post-election convening, "The Future of Democracy: Coming Home,” in which we’ll spotlight outcomes at the local and state levels. We’ll look at key local ballot measures and the discussion will focus on ways to stay active and engaged closer to home. The panel will touch on the national election and will analyze how congressional races impact legislative control, but we'll highlight local issues.
