Teaching Interests

I teach multiple classes in our secondary teacher education credential program, including Secondary Teaching Methods, Classroom Management, Student Teaching Seminar, Advanced Methods, and more. I also teach undergraduate reading and writing classes. I believe all students deserve high quality teachers and strong college and career options.

Research

I am very interested in promoting college access, reducing college remediation rates, building grit in college students, preparing highly effective urban teachers, and helping students write powerful college application essays.
