Support for your mental and physical health

The Student Health Center provides high-quality, affordable health care and health education for Cal State LA students. Learn more about the offered services and schedule an appointment on the Student Health Center website.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides confidential and non-judgmental help with your personal growth and psychological wellness. Find information about counseling, workshops, support groups, and referral services on the CAPS website and schedule an appointment.

CAPS offers an After-Hours Crisis Hotline. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis after hours, please call 323-343-3314 and press 1 to be connected to a counselor. Learn more about after-hours and emergency support.

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States.

When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors who will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary. Learn more about the 988 Lifeline.

    Located in the heart of campus, the Janice Cordova Garden of Well-Being is a beautiful place for meditation, gathering and refreshment. It features a meditative walking path, as well as local plants that promote relaxation, healing, and transcendence.
