Faculty Learning Community Spring 2025
Application Deadline: January 31, 2025
Description: The Grant Proposal Development Faculty Learning Community (FLC ) consists of six workshops on funding- and grant-related topics, peer evaluation of writing, and a mock grant review section. Participants should be open to discovery, willing to experiment, and willing to share effective practices with colleagues from across disciplines. Participants are expected to complete a grant proposal draft that may be submitted to an external funding agency by Monday, June 16, 2025.
Eligibility: Tenured and tenure-track faculty planning to submit a grant proposal to an external funding agency
Location: Workshops are held remotely via Zoom
Compensation: Selected participants receive $500 in professional development funds for participating and attending the mandatory meetings.
Criteria
-Pre-attendance: Identify a funding opportunity prior to the start of the FLC
- Mandatory Attendance
The mandatory Faculty Learning Community (FLC) workshop days are on Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

- Friday, February 21
- Friday, March 14
- Friday, April 11
- Friday, April 18
- Friday, May 2
- Friday, May 9 - Asynchronous Peer Review due

Selected FLC participants will be notified on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Participants will receive instructions for submitting an updated Faculty Additional Work Pre-Authorization Form that is required for FLC participation.
Participants learn, engage, and practice grant writing with peers to produce a proposal draft targeted for a specified external agency.
