Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (ABSN) is designed for non-RN students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing. Prospective students must have graduated by the end of the preceding fall quarter or semester in order to apply for that summer's ABSN program. One cohort of students is admitted each year to begin their program in June. Students will complete approximately 53 semester units of study in both didactic and clinical coursework over 15 months of study. Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Cal State LA. Completion of the degree program enables individuals to sit for the NCLEX examination for RN licensure.
