In the United States, opioid deaths account for 74.8% of overdose deaths and resulted in over 68,000 deaths in 2020. The availability of the opioid reversal agent, Naloxone (Narcan) can significantly reduce deaths from an opioid overdose.
The Student Health Center's Naloxone Administration Online Training and Distribution Program aims to increase the availability of the reversal agent to our students, faculty, and staff. Members of the campus community who wish to receive Naloxone at no cost may complete the online training and present the certificate to the pharmacy located inside the Student Health Center to obtain the reversal agent.
