In our current culture we are challenged by lack of time to truly care for our health, and much confusion about which of the many convenience foods, “superfoods” and supplements being sold to us we should use! In this workshop, we will explore ways that you can know your own individual “body type”, or constitution, and how you can promote your own wellness and balance using simple, real food. Also included in this workshop will be several healthy eating guidelines that can support the health and success of all of us, regardless of “type”.
Wednesday, March 22 @ 3:10 - 4:15 pm

With the stresses and demands that current life brings, we can very easily become disconnected from ourselves. Our physical and mental health suffer as a result of this. True presence, termed mindfulness, is a quiet state of mind that, when practiced regularly, increases concentration, reduces stress and creates opportunities for significant personal growth over time. In this workshop, we will explore ways that we can practice mindfulness throughout the day. This can be a means not only to pace ourselves and provide mental rest, but also a way to keep us connected with our world and with life itself.

In our fast-paced culture, more than ever before we need to set time aside to quietly be in touch with ourselves and our surroundings in the present moment. You probably are aware that mindfulness practice can calm you, but going deeper, this practice can also help you transform into your “best self”, developing a deeper understanding of your negative states of mind, such as anxiety and anger, and cultivating compassion and joy. In this workshop, we will draw upon teachings from an ancient spiritual tradition in a non-sectarian way, exploring how mindfulness practice can allow you to live your life more fully and find your true purpose.
