Cal State LA has 100 academic programs in 55 majors in seven colleges. To facilitate transfer success and timely graduation, all majors have Major-Specific Criteria for transfer admissions. For freshman applicants, admission to all majors will be to a 'pre-major' status. Continuation in the major will be subject to meeting specific lower division course and GPA requirements at Cal State LA that indicate the student's ability to successfully complete the major and graduate.
