In times of profound loss, the passing of a student deeply affects our University community. We recognize the importance of a supportive and compassionate environment. The Office of the Dean of Students prioritizes supporting the well-being of the family, friends, neighbors, classmates, or colleagues/co-workers.
Reporting a Student Death
If you become aware of the passing of a student, please notify the Office of the Dean of Students. You can report it by contacting us at (323) 343-3103* or by reporting it below, even if you do not have official documentation. We will guide you through the necessary steps once details are available.
*In the event of an on-campus incident involving a student, please contact University Police Department (UPD) at (323) 343-3700. For off-campus incidents, contact emergency services (911) and notify UPD as soon as possible.

In Memoriam and Posthumous Recognition
