The SHRM Online Professional Program is designed for human resource professionals who:
- Seek SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Wish to earn the recertification credits required by SHRM. Individuals enrolled in this program can earn up to 36 Professional Development Credits (PDCs).
- Want to improve/update their HR skills by gaining a generalist viewpoint, refreshing key ideas and concepts, strengthening their understanding of core behavior and technical competencies, and increasing productivity in the workplace.
- Want to increase their value in their workplace and/or in the global HR marketplace.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Professional Program at Cal State LA Downtown prepares individuals for both the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exams. Upon completion of the program, those who are eligible will be better prepared to take their SHRM exams and achieve career success.
Cal State LA's SHRM Professional Program uses a curriculum designed by global subject matter experts and covers the entire SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge™ (SHRM BoCK™). Expert instruction, encouragement, and peer discussion, combined with the best exam preparation system, will result in individuals learning and retaining the material effectively and efficiently.

The cost for the SHRM Professional Program is $1,349.
The program cost includes electronic course materials. The electronic course materials will be emailed to you during the first week of the program.
Federal financial aid is not currently available for the SHRM Exam Preparation Program. However, you can apply for a private student loan.

Participants will receive a digital Certificate of Completion upon completion of the program.
