Undergraduate Programs
Bachelor of Science - Aviation Administration
The Bachelor of Science program in Aviation Administration at Cal State LA offers a hands-on learning environment with an industry-driven curriculum that prepares students capable of advancing the goals of their organization. State-of-the-art classrooms, software, and laboratories provide graduates with the ability to demonstrate a balance of technical and managerial knowledge necessary to collaborate with, organize, and lead interdisciplinary teams.
Minor in Biomedical Engineering
The Biomedical Engineering (BME) minor degree program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing biomedical engineering in their careers to obtain a strong foundation in their major disciplines, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, and understand how to apply their engineering or computing skills to contribute to the advancement of medical technology and treatments.
Civil Engineering undergrad program
The civil engineering program provides instruction in the basic sciences and in engineering analysis and design. Areas of interest within civil engineering include environmental and sanitary engineering, geotechnical engineering, highway, and transportation engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, ocean engineering, and structural analysis and design.
Computer Science Undergraduate Program
Cal State LA's Department of Computer Science will prepare you for careers involving the design of computer systems and their applications to science and industry. Students who complete the degree program will be well qualified for high-paying jobs in a field with unprecedented demand for men and women who are trained in computer software skills. With recent, rapid advances in computer hardware and software technology, computer science offers some of the most dynamic job opportunities available today. You can choose a challenging, fulfilling career from a wide selection of specialties such as computer networks, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, database systems, systems analysis, and distributed systems.

The Integrated BS/MS program in Computer Science provides an accelerated route for academically excellent upper-division students in the BS degree program to complete the MS degree program while simultaneously completing the BS requirements. Click to learn about the CS Integrated program.
Electrical and Computer Engineering Undergraduate Program
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at Cal State LA is poised to provide a solid foundation in this vital field of Engineering by offering a well-rounded, up-to-date curriculum that provides an optimal balance between theory and practice and prepares you for the challenges of being the innovators and leaders of the field.

The Cal State LA B.S. in Engineering Technology program focuses primarily on the applied aspects of science and engineering. This degree provides graduates with both technical and management skills in either Manufacturing Systems and Processes or Sustainable Power and Transportation Technologies.
Bachelor of Science - Fire Protection Administration and Technology
The Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Administration and Technology was designed to meet the needs of various fire services for educational experiences that provide both technical and administrative skills. The curriculum was developed through close consultation with representatives of all levels of the fire services, from local groups to State and National committees and boards.
Bachelor of Science - Graphic Communications
The Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications is being terminated. Current students will be able to finish their degree over the next several years or switch to a different major. Students should speak to an adviser during Spring 2022 to discuss their options.
Bachelor of Science - Industrial Technology (ITEC)
The BS Industrial Technology degree will be replaced by the new BS Engineering Technology degree, which begins admitting students in the Fall of 2022. Current Ind Tech students will be able to finish their degree over the next several years or switch to the new Major. Students should speak to an adviser during Spring 2022 to discuss their options.
Mechanical Engineering undergrad program
The Cal State LA mechanical engineering program provides instruction in the basic sciences and in engineering design and analysis. During the junior and senior years, students may choose from a broad spectrum of electives to match individual talents and interests with a career objective.

Civil Engineering masters program
Cal State LA offers a Master's program in Civil Engineering, which prepares graduate students for careers in design, research, industry, education, and for further study toward a doctoral degree in the field.
Computer Science masters program
Our Master's Program at Cal State LA offers a comprehensive education in the rapidly changing and emerging field of Computer Science and prepares students to enter the competitive technology industry.
Electrical Engineering masters program
The Master of Science program in Electrical Engineering is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills within Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as opportunities to expand their proficiency to new areas in the field.
Industrial Management masters program
The Master of Science degree in Industrial Management prepares students with backgrounds in engineering, business, manufacturing, or related industries to gain management skills that help them in areas involving planning, problem-solving, and decision-making. Students are able to tailor their program to fit their specific needs.
Mechanical Engineering Masters program
Cal State LA's Master's program in Mechanical Engineering focuses on applying in-depth analysis, experimentation, and design skills to solve contemporary mechanical engineering problems in a broad range of sub-disciplines. Our graduates advance in their careers and pursue doctoral degrees.
