Child Abuse and Family Violence Institute

Mission Statement

The Child Abuse and Family Violence Institute was established in 1990 under the umbrella of the Rongxiang Xu School of Health and Human Services. The main goal of the Institute is to promote effective prevention of, and intervention in child abuse and domestic violence by providing interdisciplinary education, training, and state-of-the-art resources for students, professionals, and the community. The Institute serves as a resource for the community and promotes interdisciplinary cooperation between the University and various community agencies.
