Scholarships

President's Scholars
The Honors College takes special pride in our President’s Scholars and the leadership and intellectual curiosity they bring to our community.  President’s scholars receive annual scholarships of $2,500 to $6,800 (potentially renewable for up to four years) in recognition of their achievement, motivation, and a commitment to maximizing their educational experiences in and outside of the classroom. President's Scholars will generally have a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.75. They are featured in Honors College leadership activities on campus and off.
 
Honors College Scholars
The Honors College is also pleased to offer additional multi-year scholarships, as available, to incoming Honors College freshmen who demonstrate motivation, and a commitment to making the most of their educational opportunities.

Dr. Leana Wen
Dr. Leana Wen

Dr. Leana Wen is an emergency physician, professor of health policy and management at George Washington University, and a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. She is also the author of When Doctors Don't Listen: How to Avoid Misdiagnoses and Unnecessary Tests (2013) and Lifelines: A Doctor's Journey in the Fight for Public Health (2021).  She returned to The Honors College for an insightful conversation on public health, mentorship, and her newest book.
