The Assistive Technology Learning Center (ATLC) offers support and training for assistive technology and related technologies. Services are available to registered students with the Office for Students with Disabilities.
Alternative Media Production
The ATLC produces alternative media for instructional material that is not inherently accessible. For details on E-text or other alternative format requests, please visit the Alternative Media Production page.
Assistive Technology User Support
- Do you like to use the read-out-loud feature? Have you used Kurzweil 3000?
- Need a robust magnifying program?
- You don’t like Kurzweil but still want to use a read-out-loud feature?
- Is your JAWS license expired or outdated?
Let’s discuss your challenges! Together, we may be able to find technology that can help you.
One-on-one assessments and/or support can be arranged by requesting an Appointment.
Please note that the ATLC promotes and encourages all users to engage in independent learning of assistive technology. While the staff provides training, suggestions, and support, students should be prepared to do their own work (i.e., emailing, typing papers, and basic research). In addition, in alignment with all open-access labs, the ATLC is guided by specific rules and policies from the University student code of conduct.
If you have any additional questions, please email Jose Amenero.
There are various options to use or install assistive technology on your own device.
