The Commuter Services Office is committed to providing faculty, staff, and students with an extensive Rideshare Program. The Rideshare Program promotes alternative modes of transportation to campus with the goal of reducing the number of single rider cars on the road, thereby easing traffic and reducing environmental pollution.
Employee Public Bus Subsidy
Cal State LA Transportation Services provides a monthly bus subsidy* to University employees (some restrictions apply), full-time or part-time scheduled for start work on campus before 11:00 am and use public transit as an alternative mode of transportation to the University at least four (4) or more days per week. The subsidy will be approximately 25% of the cost of a monthly pass for employees who do not own a parking permit; These employees may also obtain up to four (4) parking permits per month from calstatela.aimsparking.com. For employees who chose to also own a parking permit, the monthly subsidy will be 15%; of the cost of a monthly pass. For these employees, there will be no monthly allocation for parking permits. - SUBSIDIZED BUS PASSES ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE 1st TO THE 20th OF THE MONTH.
- Participants may qualify for Payroll Deduction and have their passes automatically loaded monthly.
- Participants not on Payroll Deduction need to load their TAP cards or pick up their passes monthly at the One Stop Office Student Services Building Room 2380.
- Only one subsidy can be given per month.
- Passes cannot be refunded or replaced by Cal State LA if lost.

Cal State LA Transit Center
The Cal State LA Transit Center hosts close to 18 bus lines that serve the Cal State LA campus. These local and express buses are operated by both the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and Foothill Transit. The Transit Center also features its very own Metrolink station, a first for a Southern California college campus.
