University Library Community Room
The University Library Community Room can be reserved by faculty and staff providing education-based events, workshops, and meetings that are open to the Cal State LA community and will be publicized on the University Library's event calendar.
The Community Room measures 800 square feet. Adjacent to the room is a 1,725 square foot patio available for use during your event, but please note use of this space is permitted only during dry weather and does not increase the maximum capacity of the space. The maximum capacity in this is 45 seated or 70 total.
The Community Room has the standard "technology-enhanced classroom" equipment: lectern, touch panel, document camera, USB connectors, display screens, microphone, and speakers. Two content displays are mounted on opposite sides of the room and mirror the same content shown by the projector. There are two cameras in the room, one for the presenter and one for the audience. The room PC can be used as a source for presentations and lecture captures. Patrons can use the PC itself for presentations or connect a laptop or USB. The University Library does not have an on-call ITC available for events, this we recommend scheduling a technology walkthrough with your ITC or equivalent if you choose.
For a full list of all technology capabilities in the room, including guides, diagrams, and tutorials, please the ITS Classroom Technology Guide.
