The Natural Science Program offers a flexible and interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science degree in which students study biology, chemistry, geoscience, physics and astronomy at the lower division and focus on a specific area of science in upper division coursework. The major offers three options: Option I, which is an interdisciplinary science degree allowing the student to focus on biology, chemistry, geoscience and physics in the upper division coursework; Option II: Teaching, which is designed specifically for preservice middle and high school science teachers; and Option III: Applied Science degree, which is designed for broad careers in health sciences or bridge to clinical laboratory as an emphasis of study.
